MEOA EVENT UPDATE

MEOA friends and colleagues,

As we have rolled along with provincial restrictions in 2020 and now 2021 we have continued to work with our event site hosts to ensure once we are all able to come together again we have everything in place for that. Our PD Day committee is actively working to secure a location as soon as courses are able to commit for 2022.

Having said that please mark your calendars for the following:

9:00 am Registration.  10am Shotgun Start.

Works and management solutions are often shared and explored within our association as a network resource, benefitting all who partake. We are always looking for new participation to expand our footprint. We consistently invite operators, leaders and decision makers from many cities, towns and regions in Ontario to help us advance best practices. As a member, experiencing the interaction and questioning between other members about practices and resolutions has been greatly rewarding.

With all our historical success with the above mindset and direction, we are excited to Introduce MEOA LinkedIn Forum, a new addition to MEOA resources as a Q & A tool In our toolbox. An invite will be sent to all active members to participate. As MEOA members, both as municipal and supplier, we all forged our own ways to work through this pandemic. Our ability to reach out to a number of people at one time to gain support and best practices has been limited to virtual platforms such as zoom or teams meeting, These are the forums of today and can be very effective for messaging and networking. These methods will no doubt remain in use post pandemic. It is our goal to add back in the human side of networking later this year and into 2022 and myself and all your MEOA executive is looking forward to seeing you again.

At the heart of networking is establishing beneficial, lasting connections, one person at a time.

Cheers and take good care of each other.

Paul Peyton
